Rescue:  MVA Car Rollover on 11/20/2021

SWFD is currently responding to a motor vehicle accident (rollover) at Ayers Road and Graham Road with reported entrapment.
This is the third accident response of the day for SWFD.
Update: the occupant was able to self-extricate, and was uninjured.

Rescue: MVA Car Rollover, Hit Pole 11/13/2021

Motor Vehicle Accident - Saturday, November 13, 2021
At approximately 5:44 AM, SWFD was dispatched to a MVA with injuries at Rt. 5 and Strong Road. A car made contact with a telephone pole and rolled, completely shearing the pole. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital.
The area is without power and crews are on scene working to restore. SWFD is now also responding to multiple fire alarms in the area, likely associated with the loss of power.

Mutual Aid on 291Truck Diesel Spill on 10/19/2021

SWFD is out on 291 Westbound prior to Exit 4, assisting Manchester Fire Department 8th District with a single tractor-trailer accident involving a large diesel spill. There are no injuries and state DEEP is en route.  I-291 West was shut down.

Rescue: Truck Vs Car on Sullivan Ave on 10/12/2021

Tuesday, Oct. 12th just after midnight.
After clearing the scene of a smoke in the building investigation, SWFD, South Windsor Police Department, and Ambulance Service of Manchester responded to a motor vehicle crash on Sullivan Ave (Rt. 194) and Rye Street involving a Tractor Trailer and a passenger car.  Non-life threatening injury.
Intersection is closed while investigation is conducted and vehicles removed.
