Motor Vehicle Accident 6/21/2020 Ellington Rd. Phone Poles

Sunday, June 21 at 1230am just after midnight:
SWFD, SWPD, and ASM responded to a single-vehicle vs. multiple telephone poles in the 1400 block of Ellington Road (Rt. 30). Two poles snapped at the base. Passenger-type car ended up on the front lawn approximately 20’ off the roadway. Non life-threatening injuries. E4 and Car 29 assisted EMS and PD.

Fork Lift Accident 6/16/2020

Tuesday, June 16th at 3pm.
SWFD, SWPD, and ASM dispatched to Coca Cola, 359 Ellington Road at the loading dock for a reported employee in a fork lift that fell off dock and was reported entrapped. FD and PD arrived together and found the person in a precarious position, but not entrapped.
Person transported with Non life threatening injuries.

Mutual Aid Windsor 6/14/2020

Sunday, June 14th at 1:45pm

The SWFD was requested - mutual aid, directly to the scene in Windsor.
The Windsor FD was handling a house fire at 53 Park Ave when a MAY DAY was called for two Firefighters in the basement. Crews rapidly removed the Firefighters. They were evaluated by EMS and were not injured. Great outcome.
Strong work by Windsor FD and SWFD Cars 11 and 22 with E4’s crew.

Motor Vehicle Rollover 6/11/2020 West Rd.

Friday, June 11, 2020 - just prior to 11pm.
SWFD, SWPD, and ASM responded to a one-vehicle crash in the area of 115 West Road. Occupant of an older 80s van rolled over numerous times and required extrication. Members of the Rescue Squad, supported by E3 and E4 under the direction of the Special Operations Chief had the occupant removed in 12 minutes. The vehicle was approximately 200’ off the roadway.

Motor Vehicle Accident 5/26/2020 Rt. 5 Phone Pole

SWFD, SWPD, ASM, and CSP responded to a motor vehicle crash on the Rt 5 s/b entrance ramp to I-291 e/b. 1 car vs pole. Initially reported with the driver trapped requiring extrication. Driver was able to self extricate and later denied injury.
Entrance ramp closed for a short time.
