Matt Falletti presents Rich Gokey with his yellow helmet on March 6, 2019 after his completion of mandatory Firefighter I training. Probationary firefighters are issued a black helmet which signifies non-interior qualification. Upon completion of Firefighter I, they receive their yellow helmet, which designates an interior firefighter. Firefighter I training involves several months of classroom and hands on training. This is the first major accomplishment of a new firefighter.

Not all the details are in yet, but we know at least 170 turkeys, over $5,000, and nearly $700 in gift cards as well as two full trucks/trailers of food were all donated!
Great teamwork by all the agencies with the support of both Geisslers and Stop & Shop supermarkets.
