Vehicle Fire w/ Exposures
At approximately 8:28 PM, South Windsor Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Amazon on Ellington Road. While responding, units received an update that a second vehicle may now be involved.
Car 10 arrived on scene first and reported a single van on fire, with other vans in close proximity.
Squad 2 arrived on scene and began a fire attack on the vehicle. Due to the fire, the manager inside Amazon activated the fire alarm system via a pull station. Engine 3 arrived on scene shortly after and investigated, silenced, and reset the fire alarm. Engine 6 also responded and assisted with fire attack and overhaul.
There were no injuries to anyone on scene, and there were no packages in the van at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the South Windsor Fire Marshal's Office.
