Motor Vehicle Accident 7/19/2019 on 291 12:10 AM – 7/20/19 Shortly after the Route 5 accident: The SWFD is now out with the Connecticut State Police on I-291 Westbound, prior to exit 3, for a two-car accident. Non-life threatening injuries were reported. The right lane is closed on the westbound side of the Bissel Bridge.
